Putting together an all-new, spooky haunted house at the scale and professional quality of HAUNTSBURG required a huge commitment of time and energy from our volunteer “Boo Crew.” They are all dead-ick-cated (sorry, couldn’t resist!) individuals, and they made this new concept work.
For 2010, two volunteer groups came together to create the new HAUNTSBURG Haunted House. The people who previously brought you the Field of Screams Corn Maze in Danville and the group that put together the Haunts of Hidden River Haunted Hayrides! in Brownsburg. The best-of-the-best haunters stopped thei previous events and created the HAUNTSBURG Haunted House!
HAUNTSBURG 2010 was created in the old Blanck Chevrolet dealership in Brownsburg. With 21,000 square feet, we created one of the largest haunted houses ever constructed in central Indiana! Because our haunted house floor plan required State and Local approval, professional design services were donated by Sebree Architects in Avon. The HAUNTSBURG Haunted House was quite an undertaking (sorry, couldn’t resist again!) and turned out to be super spooky!
Every year, we need sponsorship dollars to make this work! We have to build wall systems, purchase props, advertise the event and pay our lease. That’s were sponsors come in. In 2010, we hosted a “VIP/Sponsor Monster Bash Preview Party” on October 1st, 2010! Special guests were invited to see HAUNTSBURG before it opened to the public! It was a fun, behind-the-scenes evening of costumes, food and fun for all our special guests. AND, at our VIP Bash, we featured The Graveyard Stompers band! How cool is that!
